This item is found in the following Product Families
PT-130 Rated for 130 hp and smaller motors, the 13002 will trim the motor 20° and a total of 65° of trim and tilt. It is actuated with a totally waterproof marine electric hydraulic system that is rated over 7800 lbs. of thrust! This hydraulic system is made of 100% non-ferrous materials which makes it more impervious to saltwater and freshwater than ball screw, electro-mechanical systems equipped on other brands. In fact, it is over twice as powerful as the ball screw electro mechanical actuator. The CMC hydraulic system is completely sealed and submersible and runs without worry of water damage. It is constructed of 1/2" 6061 T6 alloy aluminum extrusions and fastened with stainless steel fasteners for maximum strength and durability. No welds or castings to break. Carry's a 5-year structure warranty. Unit incorporates a 6" set back which enhances boat stability and will put the prop in "cleaner" water, thus giving the prop a better "bite" and eliminating prop slippage. It can also increase top end speed and fuel efficiency. It is great for pontoon boats, too! Since access to the motor on most pontoon boats is very difficult, the 13002 can make it very convenient. It is back saving, and prop saving, simply by flicking a switch when approaching shallow water. Note: clamp-on motors need an adapter (13022).PT-130 FEATURES:
  • Rated for 130 H.P. and Smaller Motors
  • 6" Set Back to Enhance Boat Stability and Performance

Electric power tilt PT-130
by David from La Pine, Oregon on July 15, 2015
Received the order on time. The installation was easy and the unit is a little over kill for my boat, but that's the way I like it.. It allows me to go to a larger engine if I want. Very happy. Dave Aydelott

by Alan from Temple, Texas on March 18, 2015
Have only had unit for two weeks, but seems to work well. It is very heavy duty and was very easy to install. At this point I am 100% satisfied and would recommend it to others.

Its all that
by Flint from Gillsville, Georgia on August 05, 2014
I was skeptical when I ordered the PT-130 tilt trim package. I had read all the reviews and they sounded good but when I installed it and put it to work, I was pleasantly surprised. It really was all it was said to be. The best part is that it performs very well. I would recommend it to any one. Installation was a breeze as well. I had an overhead crane to work with so all I had to do was unbolt the motor, slide the tilt trim in and bolt it up. I was ready to go in an hour. Well worth the money.

Strong and well made
by Carl from Newport, Washington on July 18, 2013
Very strong and well made. Wiring ready to plug in and mount switch. The only thing I didn't care for was the adaptability to the older style engine with clamps. However, I didn't purchase the adapter plate. I machined my own. Handles my 1987 85 HP very well. Carl, Newport,WA

Very heavy duty product
by Paul from Waite Park, Minnesota on November 12, 2012
This is a heavy duty product and works as advertised to trim and tilt up to 90°. Installation instructions were good. I was able to install the unit completely on my own. I lifted the 70 HP 1978 Evinrude outboard with a come-along hung from my garage rafters. The standard bolt holes worked. No drilling was required. I used a Jaw Horse to hold the unit up behind the boat. I lifted one end of the Jaw Horse up and then the other end to get the unit onto the bolts. Some of the supplied stainless steel bolts were too long. I was able to cut them off with a 4" grinder with a cutoff blade. It is easy to damage the threads on the bolts. Stainless steel is soft. At one point a nut became stuck on a bolt that was damaged. It could not be reversed. So it had to be cut off. The weather has turned cold and I will not be able to test it in water until spring.

Great Product
by Merritt from Plymouth, Minnesota on September 21, 2011
Very happy with the quality and ease of installation. Was built better than I expected. Mounted on a 16' duck boat with a 35hp motor. Works fantastic, installed with 2 people in less than 45 minutes. We have used the unit at least 10 times now, no issues what so ever.

48 HP Evinrude
by Danny from Rincon, Georgia on June 26, 2011
48 HP evinrude manual assist tilt was next to impossible to tilt when in the water and fishing tidal water by myself the fear of getting stuck in shallow water. The PT-130 relieved much of that fear and installation was a breeze. I didn't remove any thing from the 48HP and hoisted it up with the ring on the motor and slid it aside then installed the PT130 by myself. The unit is heavy but I was able to put a bolt in the top hole of the boat then align with that hole and loosely attach the PT130. I then lifted the unit and installed the other top bolt, tightened them down and hooked up the power as described in the instructions and raised the unit to install lower bolts. Attached 48Hp to highest location and I get full tilt. Good luck with your install.

Q:
What is the advantage of geting the Gauge?
A:
You can have a gauge that tells you the up and down level of the tilt.

Q:
What is the switch control unit..is it dash mount or mountable by the steering colum?
A:
It is just a three wire toggle switch, they say you can just mount it right there with your instrument cluster.

Q:
I have a 30 Yamaha 3 cyl that is a clamp on motor. Will I need to purchase the "clamp on adapter kit" for my motor to work on this unit?
A:
Yes you will need to get that adapter to mount your clamp on motor, part number 13022.

Q:
Will this work for a 1973 Johnson 85esl73m?
A:
Yes it works on most outboards up to 130 HP.

Q:
I have an ETEC 40hp Model # E40DRLSDA, will this unit work for my outboard?
A:
Yes. It is rated for outboards that are 130hp or smaller.

Q:
I have an ETEC 40hp Model # E40DRLSDA that is the clamp on type what adapter plate is required??
A:
You need part number 13022. It is for installation of motors mounted with transom clamps. It works with the CMC PT-130 tilt and trim.

Q:
Will this work for a Yamaha 4 stroke 20 hp?
A:
This will work for any engine application up to 130 horsepower, so it should work well for your 20 horsepower Yamaha.

Q:
Is this the right unit for a 2005 Yamaha 25hp 4 stroke or the PT-35? My motor is currently bolted to the transom. Will I need an adaptor?
A:
You will need the PT-130 for Yamaha 4-stroke. You will not need any adapters of any kind, it is provided for clamp-on motors if that's what you have. Other than that it just bolts on.

Q:
What kind of wiring harness comes with this unit?
A:
It is a 16" wiring, includes 2 80amp relays, a 40 amp circuit breaker and a 5 amp inline fuse.

Q:
Will I have to worrie about my steering cables being long enough and can I still run my Finn on the motor or do I remove it I have a 85 HP?
A:
The only thing you will need to be aware of for the steering cables is there will be a 6 inch set back. By fin, I think you are speaking of the hydro-foil, you can keep that on as well.
