This lounge seat a great way to update the look of your pontoon. The upholstery is made of top quality material. Base is s y and has pre-drilled holes to secure the back to it and to the floor of the pontoon. I had a few problems...The studs that are used in the back rest of the seat wanted to keep screwing up in the into the brace at the bottom. I used tape on the threads to make it a tighter fit. One of the four nuts that the studs screw into popped up into the back when I was placing the back on the base and there is no way of getting it back out. I just used a lag bolt on that one hole. I bought two lounges and only had issues with one of them. Don't remember if it is specified in the description BUT these backs are not made for free standing. They MUST be against the rails of the pontoon for support.
