Power Tilt and Trim Motor

Excellent unit, too bad you don't carry hydraulic parts, Pump and Cylinder as well as the motor. Those other parts especially the pumps are almost impossible to find and then costs way too much, the older Chrysler units are much cheaper and easier to locate, that doesn't seem right. Regards, M. Product replaced my tilt and trim motor with no problems. The engine used on is a 1987 Force 125 outboard. I will not hesitate to order another sierra if or when I have to replace the one on my other motor. Although installation was a little tedious, it went smoothly.

How hard is it to replace this unit ? Does the motor have to be removed from the boat ?
A:
There are 4 bolts to remove and the electrical to disconnect. It is not necessary to remove the engine from the boat to change the power tilt and trim motor.

Is this replacement trim pump for 1979 chrysler 115?
A:
No it is not. Your OEM number is FK654541 which is obsolete. So you will need to contact an obsolete outboard parts dealer or see if a local Mercury dealer can get one.
