I am not a boat guy. It was easy to find the right fuel pump for my boat and even easier to order. The shipping was very quick and everything went very well. I will continue to do business with iboats.com and encourage others.

Sierra 18-7352 fuel pump
by Richard from Mobile, Alabama on April 16, 2016
Product was just what I ordered and delivered exactly when it was supposed to be. Had to modify a homemade mounting bracket but if worked perfect for this conversion from a VRO pump.

Solved my problem
by Timmy from Scottsville, Kentucky on June 24, 2015
I have had a cough in my 35 Evinrude for a couple of years now. I had cleaned the carb, twice, bought new bulb and hose, even rebuilt the old fuel pump. I was sure the problem was in the fuel system somewhere, so I finally decided to try a new fuel pump. I have had in out twice on all day trips, so far it hasn't missed a beat. Just wish I had done this two years ago.

fuel pump
by Norbert from Marble Hill, Missouri on August 07, 2013
Fuel pump arrived sooner than expected, quality looked good too. Forty five minutes and 2 - 3/8" hose clamps later VRO removed and fuel pump installed. I got it to work with the original hoses by swapping them around. (I have a 97 50 hp Johnson) Have used the boat several times since and all is well. Thanks

Fuel Pump - Sierra
by Richard from Spring, Texas on August 02, 2011
Fuel pump appears to be working correctly. I'll get to put it on the water and test it this weekend. Wish I would have had an option to buy the bolts to go with it..

Don't buy this
by Paul from Lake Orion, Michigan on July 31, 2011
What can I say but this product was made in China and leaked through the screw threads when I installed it. I ordered an original equipment "made in USA" pump from a different supplier and it worked properly, no leaks. I tried to save $15 and cost me an extra week with no boat and more time wrenching on my motor.

Q:
Will this pump work on a 1958 18 hp johnson to convert from 2 line to 1 line?
A:
No this will not work for you. For: 25-55 HP 1976-89 ( non VRO ). We do not have one available for your engine.

Q:
Does this fuel pump come with mounting screws/bolts?
A:
This does not come with the mounting screws. That is sold separately in the OEM parts section.

Q:
How can i identify my 1987 evinrude 2 cylinder?
A:
The best way to find parts is with the model # of the engine usually located on the transom shield.

Q:
Will this part work on a 1978 85 hp johnson?
A:
No, this will only work for horsepower sizes between 25 and 55.

Q:
Will this fit 15 HP 1992 johnson electric start?
A:
This fits 25-55 HP 1976-89 ( non VRO ). We can double check your OEM number but you will need to call in with your model number. 1-800-914-1123.

Q:
Fuel Pump Kit - 18-7800 - Sierra fit this pump?
A:
The 18-7800 looks like it's for fuel pumps 1990-and-up and this particular fuel pump goes 1976-1989. Best thing to do is to contact us with make, model, year of your motor and model number and we can match up correct kit. Call us at the number at the top of the page if you need assistance.

Q:
Will this work on my 1982 evinrude 150 v6?
A:
Unfortunately, this fuel pump will not fit your 150 HP Evinrude. This fuel pump is for 25-55 HP between the years of 1976-1989.

Q:
I have a 40 he VRO evinrude motor. Can I use a different fuel pump on it if I'm not using the oil injection?
A:
We do not offer the VRO pump. If you want a regular fuel pump and mix oil yourself then you will need to contact Evinrude. Reason being is we wouldn't have a recommended fuel pump by application since you have the VRO, the pump listed for your application is the VRO. You will need a recommendation from Evinrude. If you have further questions contact us at the number at the top of the page.

Q:
Hi I have a 1991 evinrude 50/35 jet will this fuel pump work I want to take out my vro pump that's leaking and replace it with this and just mix my fuel instead thanks?
A:
You will need to contact Evinrude for a recommended fuel pump. We can only match up correctly by application and your application is with VRO pump. You can also post a question in our forums. It's free to the public and connects you with thousands of other boaters: http://forums.iboats.com/

Q:
Is this the correct pump for my 1976 25 horse evenrude?
A:
As long as your pump is a non-VRO pump, this would be the one for your engine.

Q:
Will this fit my 2001 Johnson 50 hp outboard?
A:
No the correct part number for your motor is 0438557.
A:
Yes, this should work with your 2001 Johnson 50 hp engine as long as you currently have a non-VRO pump (Variable Ratio Oiler.

Q:
Will this part fit on my 1957 35hp Evnrude?
A:
No, this only works for the years 1976-1984.
A:
No it will not. It is for 25-55 HP 1976-89. There is not one listed for your motor. If you have a fuel pump it was converted to one most likely, but if you contact a local Johnson dealer they can take a look at what is on there. If you have a part number we can see if we can cross reference it or look up the superseded numbers.
