Good Seat -- Read Return Policy First
by Ferrell from Hampstead, North Carolina on March 15, 2017
I bought this seat to replace a similar Wise seat in my 2006 Sea Hunt Triton 186. My initial seat still works well after 10 years so I expect the new seat to last as many years. I give Wise and iboats.com 4 stars overall. Why did I buy the seat instead of the replacement cushions? It turns out that the size of the seat has changed slightly from the one installed in my boat. The WD155P-784 frame is about 4" wider and 2" taller than the frame in my boat. The replacement cushions are too big for the smaller size seat that came with my boat but otherwise the seats are identical. I did talk to Wise, and they said that they might be able to make the smaller size cushions if I wanted to wait a few months. So, I went with the new size since it fixes another problem: I needed to replace the Igloo cooler that fits under the seat, and the size of the new Igloo cooler has also grown to fit the new frame size. The good news is that my wife likes the additional padding in the new seat. I like using iboats.com. Their prices are good, and items always arrive on time and as described. Just a word of caution: Read their return policy. You will probably be charged a re-stocking fee when you return an item, and it does take time to get your money back. I returned the replacement cushions that didn't fit, but in hindsight, I should have kept them since the shipping and re-stocking fees cost almost as much as the cushions.

    Wise Swingback Seat
by Tom from Cornelius, North Carolina on January 02, 2017
The seat looks nice, but....the mounting holes in the lower base are very difficult to access because the upper bar above is only a few inches away. Hard to use a ratchet of cordless drill with a bit. Enlarging the holes to receive a screw at an angle is one option, but this would weaken the frame and likely leave a sharp edge for feet possibly to catch a sharp edge. The swingback works rough, takes both hands free to move it and then requires some force. Brought all of this to the attention of the Wise manufacturer. A small thanks for constructive feedback, but no more. Mine came with no manual, no fasteners. Careful drilling as fuel tank is generally below where the seal sets. Have a different brand on my Grady White that is 16 years old, and works perfectly, easier to mount. TH

Poor construction or bad quality control
by Clifton from Brunswick, Georgia on July 22, 2015
So I'm installing my new swingback seat and although the seat cushions are will made. The frame welds look good it stops there. The back adjustments are not welded on even so the back is crooked, STBD side is 1 1/2 inch further back than the Port side. At the base the back is narrower than the front which has a brace. Also the frame is twisted enough to let it rock so trying to measure to get it straight and squair with the hull and console is difficult. I guess they don't jig up the frams or do quality checks, At the price point these seats are at you would think it would be better made. I like buying online but for this amount of money. Wish I had gone to a outlet where I could have looked over what I was spending my money on. It's saddening

    Durable
by John from Chapin, South Carolina on July 14, 2014
Over all a well built durable quality seat. Swingback does tend to slip out of middle positions though. I plan to modify the position plate with small notches to the root of the slots to prevent the pins from riding up them. Wise needs to revise the design to correct this issue.

    Q:

    A:
Wise does not make 60" seats.

    Q:
I HAVE A 2001 CENTER CONSOLE 18FT SEAPRO THE SEAT THAT FITS OVER COOLER MINE CONNECTS WITH HINNGES ON THE COOLER AND SEAT, DOES YOUR SEATS MOUNT THE SAME WAY, AND ALSO I NEED THE SWINGBACK SEAT?
    A:
Manufacturer confirms this will not work the same way. If you want to get one that works that way you will need to get the OEM.

    Q:
Will the Offshore Swingback Cooler Seat work on a 1998 Grady White 18' Sportsman?
    A:
This is an aftermarket seat, so you will need to compare dimensions to what you need.

    Q:
Are replacement cushions available for this seat?
    A:
WD155-R-B is the back rest. WD155-R-S is the seat.

    Q:
What is the height from the deck to the top seat cushion that you sit on.?
    A:
From the floor to the top of the seat cushion is 24 inches.

    Q:
How is this seat secured to the deck?
    A:
There are pre-drilled holes in the bottom tubing. The manufacturer doesn't send out hardware for mounting either. You'll need to visit a local hardware store to purchase the hardware you would like to use.

    Q:
