It works up to 55 HP, but only for motors that weigh up to 250 lbs.

If I have a 1982 Johnson 60 HP motor but it's weight is only 180lbs will this work on it?

Yes you are within the weight limit. However, manufacturer suggests 55-0135 should offer better performance for you and work perfectly for your application.

Will this unit allow me to trim the motor while underway to plane the boat? I would be installing it on a 14' fibreglass boat with a 40hp johnson. Thanks in advanced?

Yes you can trim the motor while it is underway on water with this. Be sure your motor does not exceed 250 pounds.

To provide adequate support for your Panther bracket, the Transom side of the bracket must be fully covered by the boats transom.
Included are the relay control with harness, 12 foot corded up/down switch, owners manual and all instructions.
