Plastic Elbow Catch - Perko

Those plastic elbow catches on cabinet doors and drawers in your boat? Eventually something goes wrong...in my case the springs were gone on some of them. None of my local chandleries (sp?) had replacement parts. I almost gave up looking for them. Thanks to the internet, here they are. Exact replacement parts. No fuss. No muss. 30 seconds to remove old and replace with new. Perfect!

The latch works as expected, but it is a frustrating latch to use. It requires sticking a finger into a hole in the cabinet door and reaching around blindly to find the latch to spring it open. This sometimes requires contorting your body to find the latch depending on your position relative to the cabinet door. An inexpensive latch to be sure, but that is the trade-off. I needed to replace some because the spring in a few of mine popped out and were lost. I am looking to ultimately replace all of these with something less frustrating to operate. But for the price they do a fine job securing the cabinets shut on my sailboat.
