Mounting bolts too long.
by Jerry from North Little Rock, Arkansas on September 06, 2015
The original rubber shocks were affixed to the device with brads. The replacement has bolts and they are so long that the device will not open properly when installed. They can be made to work (barely) by cutting the bolts off even with the nut after installation. The device still will not open all the way but it will open enough to make it usable.

Finally something that works
by Robert from Crystal River, Florida on May 02, 2012
Spent $70 on a transom saver. 4 years later the rubber wears out and no marine store within 150 miles carries replacements. When I received these I was quite pleased: Easily changed out and perfect fit. Great item.

They work just good enough
by Louis from Phoenix, Arizona on August 02, 2011
I don't necessarily have a problem with the Rubber Shocks I purchased as they were very easy to install and they do create a soft stop for my motor to rest like they were designed to do. The problem I have is that they were a little too big and the transom only rests on the bottom two rubber shocks while the upper two serve no purpose anymore. In my situation, purchasing new swivels would have been the best option.

Q:
Will these fit Bass Pro Shops transom saver?
A:
These are made for the Swivl-Eze. We cannot guarantee they will work on the Bass Pro transom saver.

Q:
Also need the metal casting the rubber shocks attach to?
A:
The SP416 is the bracket or toggle for head and it's the only other replacement part Attwood offers. It's the second picture in this link: http://www.iboats.com/Transom-Toggle-Swivl-Eze/dm/view_id.254909
