- HC4600 and HC4600H are no longer being made by Teleflex Canada, all seal kits and spare parts will be made available
- If purchase of a new HC4600 or HC4600H is required, please purchase BayStar Compact Cylinder part# HC4645H
- If the cylinder that you are replacing does not include the letter H after the part number, you will need to reuse the fittings out of your old cylinder and/or purchase fitting kit # HF4201 (includes 2 of the old style bleed fittings)

- 1 x BayStar helm pump (HH4016)
- 1 x BayStar Cylinder (HC4645H)
- 1 x BayStar Tubing kit (HT4420H, comes with two 20' hoses)
- 2 x Hydraulic Steering Fluid (HA5430)
The compact cylinder does not require the engine manufacturer drag link for connection.
**WARNING** Baystar is not suitable for certain high performance 150 HP engines (Mercury Optimax 150 DFI) use SeaStar Pro rated up to 300 HP
Note:HC6400 BayStar standard Cylinder is a universal cylinder, however, ensure it will fit your splashwell (At least 32" wide).

A:
According to SeaStar this will not give you the performance you want with your motor. You will need the SeaStar hydrualic kit, part number HK6400A-3.

No the cylinder will not work with your application. You will need to upgrade to the Seastar pacakge, part number HK6400A-3.

A:
No this works with outboard applications. You will need the sterndrive hydraulic components. That is part number HC5332 for the cylinder. Helm is part number HH5271-3. You will also need HF6007 and HT5092 or HT5095 (depending on length).

I have a 2001 triton tr16 with a 125 hp merc. is this system compatible with the boat/ motor combination and will the triton steering wheel fit appropriately?
A:
Yes it will work with your application. It fits steering wheels that accept a 3/4 inch tapered shaft.

We will need to know the motor to confirm if this will work for your application.

No. It will no work.

No this kit will not work because you need a different cylinder. This kit comes with HC4645H and you need HC4648H. So you will need to buy individual parts from the kit.

Yes this will fit your application. Hoses come in 20 foot lengths, so if you need longer than we will need to special order that.

You can upgrade to hydraulic steering with this. You will need to make sure the steering hoses are long enough. This comes with two 20 foot hoses.

Manufacturer confirms this will work with your outboard. This comes with two, 20 foot hoses. So you will need to make sure that is long enough.

Will this work on a 2002trophy with hp mercury?

The Baystar is for utboards Up to V6
(50 MPH or less)
Q:
I have a 17 ft Stratos bass boat. Will the splash well accomadate this unit?
A:
Seastar does not have an application guide on splash wells for specific boats. You will need to know minimum dimensions. For cylinder HC4645H splash well needs to have a minimum width of 21 inches. It needs to be able to extend in at least 6 inches and minimum height of 5 inches.

Do the lines need to be cut to the proper length or just coiled up?Also does it come with a steering wheel or does anyone fit?
A:
No, these do not need to be cut. And no, it does not include a steering wheel. It can fit up to 150 horsepower engines with some exclusions.
A:
The BayStar is rated to 150 HP or less. Some SeaStar models go to 350.
Q:
Do they make a hydraulic steering system for sterndrive boats mine is a 3.9 mercruiser alpha1 and do you have it?
A:
Yes it is just not offered in a kit. Helm is HH5271-3, cylinder is HC5332, hoses is a special order and you will just need to call in. That is what is required though for an Alpha One.

I have a 90 HP four stroke Mercury, is this a good fit or do I need an adaptor plate?
A:
Yes you can use this for your motor.
