The boot is slit so that you can slide it on with out removing the cables. The description does not describe this slit. I thought that it was one integral boot.

this part is not 4" iboats

the outer dia. is 5.5" the inner dia. is 4.25" the max. distance from the mounting holes is 4.75" Nothing on this boot measures 4" Not a huge deal, but after talking to someone at iboats all she was wanted to do was refer me to the manufacturer.This was my first and last purchase at iboats.

Out of curiosity i called seasense to ask how they measure their product and how I need to go about finding the right part. The guy was friendly at first but became condescending when confronted with a problem.He tried to tell me the boot collapses to 4" but when I told him the outer ring would no longer fit if i did that he disagreed and said it would. When I told him and he needed to learn how to use a tape measure, he got upset and hung up on me.

I ordered this boot on March 3rd and it was supposed to be delivered on the 11th....it came on the 5th!!! Thats what I call FAST shipping. Another great job by iboats!
