perfect fit for my older (1979) GM small block 230 hp OMC sterndrive w/ original distributor

This harder and harder to find distributor cap is one reason I still shop iboats for my "old boat" engine parts. It is an exact match for my small block GM marine modified engine with the original distributor. I changed the points/condenser ignition system out a few years ago with the electronic ignition kit and that was the best money I have spent to date on my boat - especially since it fit right inside my original distributor with same rotor cap.

Not the best

When I installed the cap, I tightened the hold down on the port side no problem, tightened the strarboard side and the hold down recess on the cap broke off, very brittle plastic.
