SkegPro™ - KeelGuard

My old Megaware Keelguard was demolished as I backed into my garage and I attempted to use the power trim to elevate the motor keel dragging on the concrete. The old Keelguard simply folded into a crumpled mess and I had no fun taking the product off. I ordered a new Megaware Keelguard anticipating that I would not have to drill another hole in the keel to attach the replacement. Wrong, the old hole and the new Keelguard did not match, so just what I did not want to do, I had to drill a new hole. The big picture is I never had any problems with the old Megaware product aside from the fit was not quite as tight as I would have liked on my 200HP Yamaha. The downfall of the product was not the product, it was operator error. I was disappointed in having to drill a new hole in my skeg but I will admit the new Keelguard does fit tighter. Perhaps the first hole was operator error as well. Ice has kept the boat in the garage since the new installation and the walleye are thankful for that so I have no performance report to issue on the new Megaware Keelguard at this time.
