Available with chrome, burl or soft touch control levers, the B310 series can be used on outboards, sterndrives and inboard applications. The universal control design allows for the connection of 33C Universal style cable and OMC (Johnson/Evinrude) cables with adapters included. Mercury Gen I cables can be easily connected with the addition of the K35 connection kit. Can be installed horizontally or vertically, on the starboard or port side of the boat. The instructions need to have more detail when speaking about the different types of cables and the hardware needed (Actual pictures would be nice). There should be a notation,"When installing the cables on the new lever controls, you may need to loosen the tension of the throttle or out drive assembly". I had to loosen the throttle cable at the engine prior to assembling the other end on the new control lever. All cables had to later be adjusted by a certified OMC technician. I was having late engagement issues in reverse. I also noticed the neutral gate did not line up true neutral of the out drive (Off by 3/16"). I do like the performace of the B310B control lever. I feel it is better than the original equipment. The "pull out" action of the lever is a nice safety feature compared to the OEM "push" button configuration.

Nice for the price

I got this to replace the throttle control on my Bayliner Capri. It definitely looks nice. I haven't tried it on the water yet, but it's mounted up with new cables and should be fine. There is some play in the lever, even after everything is tightened up, but nothing that can't be lived with.

Q:
I have a 1999 Stringray 190Rx with a 3.0 litre Mercruiser. The current control controls trim but has a separate switch to trailer the foot for towing. Will this work?
A:
In this unit there is a neutral safety switch that allows you to hook up both tilt and trim in Mercruiser outdrives. So that switch, when remote is in neutral, will allow you to tilt the outdrive for trailering. So this will work for your application for sure.

Q:
I have a 1987 Stingray with a 460 7.5l. Will this work with my application?
A:
These are universal in its design. It will depend on what Marine distributor of your motor is to check what control cable you need.

Q:
Will this unit work on a 1995 OMC I/O Cobra in a Four Winns 200 Horizon?
A:
These controls are made to fit a wide variety of engine types and applications as they are considered to be universal. With that in mind, Uflex recommends that you use their 33C Universal style cables or C14 cables in conjunction with this control to ensure that it fits.

Q:
Will it fit a 1993 Volvo Penta stern drive?
A:
Yes you can use this for your VP.

Q:
My current control has an integrated ignition switch. If I replace it with this model, will I need to mount a remote ignition switch?
A:
Yes you will need to mount the ignition switch elsewhere. This will not accept the ignition switch.
