Venturi Vent, White - Attwood

I bought these vent covers to replace a more flush-mounted version that had developed cracks over the years. These appear to be s ier by design. The mounting holes lined up exactly with the original ones, which meant no disturbing the gel coat or fiberglass of the hull. I needed to do some trimming of the covers' flanges to accommodate a lip in the vent boxes where the flexible vent hoses attach internally. Other reviews mentioned trimming, so I anticipated having to do it. The task is pretty straightforward, essentially entailing a bit of carving with a utility knife. (I used a rotary rasp mounted on an electric drill to speed the process, but it's not necessary). The good thing is all of the trimming is on the back of cover, so mistakes (including one where I trimmed the wrong end because I had the vent pointing backward) are not visible.

Product was an exact replacement for cracked vents on a 26 year old boat. Installation was a breeze.
