Fast shipping and good kit
by Conrad from Baton Rouge, Louisiana on April 07, 2013
The kit seems to be pretty good. It is important to note that the included float does not fit in my M30A2 carb, I had to use the old float.

did not fit perfectly
by Raul from East Sandwich, Massachusetts on June 06, 2011
The floats did not fit, would not move freely. Had to re-use the old valveseats because did not seal properly and had to dissasemble the carbs again and I'm not sure if the orings are ethanol resistant, thy seam to swell up when in contact with fuel

Carb Kit 18-7738
by Richard from Spokane, Washington on January 07, 2016
The float has a slot for the needle that is too narrow and won't allow free "float" movement. The result was a flooding carb. Also instructions would be nice.

Float problem
by Richard from Spokane, Washington on December 28, 2015
The only problem I had with the 18-7738 kit was the hanger/slot in the new float was too tight for the needle and wouldn't allow free movement, had too open it up. Otherwise the kit was fine.

Carburetor Kits for Yamaha
by Richard from Texarkana, Arkansas on April 06, 2012
Sorry guys, The floats would not work with the needles- The float would hit the carburetor housing before the needle seated to shut off the fuel. This let both the carburetors flood with fuel constantly. There is no adjustment on the float so I had to use my old ones. It appears that the floats are just not molded correctly or the wrong needles were sent. Jackie larey

Carburetor kits
by Thomas from Plymouth, Massachusetts on October 17, 2011
While I have as yet to rebuild my carburetors, I feel I must write to acknowledge the superior customer service provided by the iboats.com team. I had several questions concerning the purchase of this item and on several occasions had resorted to emailing questions to the staff at iboats. They very patiently responded on each occasion and answered myinquiry to my satisfaction and allowing me to make my proper purchase. For this, they deserve a rating of 5. With respect to the kits themselves, they are of sufficient quality for the job at hand, but my rating of 4 reflects the cost per unit, which I think is a bit high.

watch out
by Cody from West Liberty, Kentucky on August 14, 2012
Im sure this is a good product but you should look at your carbs b4 hand because the product info said it would fit my exact boat. But it was completely diff mine has two floats per carb and they are round these was way off. Iboats took it back no problem because it wasnt my fault but I dont like paying the shipping for something that I dont need one way and then back and still have to pay it on the correct part.

Had good intentions but caused more work. Needle valves will stick open and cause flooding.
by Chad from Tampa, Florida on September 01, 2016
Ordered three of these to do all three carbs on my yamaha 150 since I had an issue with a sticking needle valve. Took an entire day to go through each carb with cleaner and air hose taking time to do it right. I made sure to put the floats in gas for a while to make sure they all still floated. Compared all parts with original before installation and didnt notice a difference at the time. I'm glad I saved all the old needle valves in hindsight. Once I got all carbs back on and primed the fuel hose to fill the bowls two of the carbs started to overflow because of the needle valves sticking open. Took both back off and made sure seat was clean, blew air in upside down to ensure needle was seating and reinstalled. Primed again and same issue. After trying a few more times I just put the old needle valves back in and first try worked like it should. Since the last carb wasnt leaking with the new needles I left them in. A few days later after multiple days on the water the new needle valves in the last carb started to stick open and would flood the engine. Ended up putting the remaining old needle valves back in and problem solved. Comparing the old and new needle valves later revealed a unnoticeably smaller diameter for the new needles that I believe allowed them to rotate slightly in the guide and not hit the seat dead center. First time I have had issues with a sierra part but I learned my lesson. A kit with good value ended up being an expensive gasket kit.

carb kit
by Melvin from Clinton Township, Michigan on August 10, 2012
I have a 1988 Yamaha Excel. The gaskets in this kit fit fine but the o rings for the main jets didn't. The new floats needed excesive bending of the tab to set float level. The quality of the kit looked good.

The kit worked like a champ. Made all the difference in the world. The engine idles well and hits WOT with no problems. Your kit was almost $100 cheaper than going to the Yamaha dealership.

incorrect part
by Bob from Whitehouse, Tennessee on August 04, 2012
received wrong part, contacted i-boats, tech person did some checking then said she would have to call me back, which never happened, took a long time to get return ins tructions, the way these instructions are written makes a person feel that they only have a 50/50 chance of getting credit.

Misleading product description
by Bill from Stapleton, Nebraska on September 15, 2011
There are three carbs on this motor. The part number is 18-776. The description of this product reads...(3) of 18-7766 = (1) of 6H3-W0093-02-00. I mistakenly thought the product contained 3 carb kits. There is only ONE carb kit. I could have purchased an OEM kit for all three carbs at full retail from a dealer for $75.

1989 Yamaha 15HP Carb Kit
by Gerry from Seminary, Mississippi on July 01, 2017
All parts appeared to be OEM equivalent and fit perfect. The bowl gasket is a little finicky to seat in place but that's because the shape of the bowl is unnecessarily complex, not the fault of the parts kit. My original needle and seat assembly had started to leak a little, with the carb kit the engine runs as new again, not bad for a 1989 2 stroke outboard.

mallory carb rebuild kit for 85 h.p. yamaha 2 stroke
by Danny from Berryville, Arkansas on March 16, 2016
The kit had all the parts and they worked fine EXCEPT for the floats. They were thicker (viewed from the side) and would not swing up and down to lift the jet. When you put the screw down to tighten the pin, it just locked the float up. Had to put the old floats back in.

floats don't fit
by Michael from Brighton, Colorado on August 24, 2015
I was only able to use parts of the kit. The floats did not fit correctly and hit the fuel pickup tube in the bowl. Gaskets worked fine.

You get what you pay for...
by Wendy from New Ellenton, South Carolina on August 19, 2014
This product is just plain junk. The o'ring type gaskets did not fit. The float valve were too short and could not seat seat causing the carbs to flood. The floats themselves would not fit. The jets were longer than the originals although you could get them to work. So in short, this kit is the price of one good kit, but you cannot make one good kit from all of it.

Mismatch of Parts
by Richard from Dallas, Texas on August 13, 2013
Most of the pieces on this carb fit do not fit and using only a few of the pieces does not work well as you have to adjust the other pieces. I was able to use the float but it's matched to the float bowls which don't fit. I had to modify my existing float bowls. So basically I used 3 parts of this entire kit. DO NOT ORDER THIS UNLESS YOU PLAN AND THROWING AWAY OVER HALF THE PIECES (AND HOPE THE ONES YOU ARE THROWING AWAY ARE THE ONES YOU DIDN'T NEED)!!! I already had the carbs removed so I used what I could to get the engine running again.

Won't on yamaha C85 or any carb from what I can Tell
by Alan from Albany, Georgia on April 03, 2011
Just to look at it,It looks like all the correct parts for a Yamaha C85 Carb. The First thing was the float height was a little low in the closed position and did not drop low enough in the open position. Tried using the old float and it was now worse.(That should have a red flag) I modified (sanded)the stops on the back of the new float so it would open properly and ignored the slight difference in the closed height. Assembled and All the carbs flooded! I couldn't believe the slight difference in the float height(1/64in) allowed this to happen. Took it back apart and looked real close to find the needle valve keeper/spring was touching the needle valve seat preventing from closing all the way. So I say this would not work on any carb. It appears the hole in the valve seat is too low or drilled out too far or the wrong one all together.

First we can only go off what Yamaha recommends for a rebuild kit. Second, we will have to go with the OEM option as Sierra does not make one, so we will need model number. Let us know if you can provide that.

I was wonderong if this kit had the mounting o rings with it or if i had to buy them seperate.?

There is an O Ring that goes on the float bowl. Without engine information we cannot determine if it has the other rings.
