This manual is okay but costs 3 times the amount of the Seloc manual which has more information plus wiring diagrams, also the quality of the Seloc manual is much better the pictures are much clearer not photocopied and the procedures are outlined and explained better for the average person.

This covers all 1977 OMC sterndrive models. So yes this will work for your engine.

Where can I find the year and serial numbers?
A:
It will be different for horse power and years so there is no way to know for every engine made. There should be a metal plate stamped some where on your engine with model and serial number.
