EZ Steer
by Mike from Port Franks, Ontario on June 02, 2014
i boats get a 5 rating, fast, friendly service, they looked after all the canadian and us taxes. shipping, and customs as quoted and I still saved a couple of hundred dollars over my cost in Canada. The EZ steer gets a 4 rating. It was easy to install with good instructions and works really well. The only complaint is that when trolling with the kicker at approx. 2500 rpm is that the detent tension sytem sometimes slips. I'm going to add a little more tension on the spring loaded balls and see if this corrects the problem. Over all, very satisfied.

Honda Boat Dealer told me "it just won't work on your type of boat"
by Patrick from Elizabethtown, Kentucky on April 07, 2015
I just bought a 2015 Honda 9.9 kicker for my older StarCraft SFM 170. So as not to break the warranty I decided to bring it to a local Honda Marine dealer to install. He said it couldn't be done on my type of boat. I went online to iboats forums and came up with this. Let me tell you I've run with the large 115HP Merc Wide Open and this bar stays put. I'm a big Lake CUmberland and KY Lake fisherman and this works great. EZ to install

Rod too short
by Renaud from Gatineau, Quebec on June 01, 2014
After following the instructions before ordering to decide on length of the center rod, I decided to order the 19"-22" inches (measuring center to center). It is too short, the rod won't stay if my kicker is all the way up and my main is down. I wish I would have ordered the next one in length. I still can use it, I have to install it once I am on the water and just before using it (need to be carefull not to drop it in the water or fall myself in the water :) ).

Happy now
by Dan from Bremerton, Washington on September 23, 2014
First Large outboard bracket failed at the spot welds on the 2nd trip out to catch some Coho's. Contacted the factory and had a new one in about a week. Very prompt customer service.

Product not as advertised
by Philip from Whitehorse, Yukon on June 30, 2012
I ordered this unit for my Honda outboards, the description indicated it was for and "OB to OB" application but it didn't indicated it would NOT work for Honda outboards. I contacted customer support by phone and spoke to a lady named Meagan who indicated she would be back to me later that day, it has been 5 days now and not returned phone call. I have now started a return process on-line and lets see how long that will take, at this point I am waiting to see how the return process progress to determine if I will order anything again from iboats.com.

E.Z. Steer for Yamaha 225
by Alan from Port Angeles, Washington on August 05, 2016
This kit did not work for me when attaching my Bigfoot 9.9 to my 2004 Yamaha 225, you will need E.Z. Steer part #84010 in addition to the small motor bracket and steering arm. This sidebar should be included in the description of what parts are needed for big motors.

Q:
Will this work on a 1983 Mercruiser 150?
A:
No. 1983 Mercruisers have an Alph 1 outdrive. You will need 30002.

A:
We will need to know the auxiliary motor and the length you will need in order to confirm correct part.

A:
Yes, the maximum length is 26 inches stretching between the outboard and stern drive.

Q:
I have Yamaha 60HP 4 stroke and Yamaha 9.9HP 4 stroke. Do you have a E.Z.Steer that fit them?
