Boat Cover Support System
Price: $55.29
Save: $39.77
(41% Off $95.06)
Part # 60008
The easiest, most cost-effective way to extend the life of your boat cover. Eliminates virtually all possible areas that could collect water and allow it to pool, causing damage to the cover. The system is designed for simplicity with two pre-installed, adjustable 20-foot straps that snap quickly to the rear tow hooks and one 40-foot adjustable strap to cradle the bow. System fits up to 28-foot boats. For pontoon boats, two systems can be easily joined to create a perfect "frame" for the boat cover. Each system comes with one adjustable (40" to 70") support pole, system center, strap set and simple installation instructions.

10 ft Carver Bimini
by Steven from Johnson City, Tennessee on August 16, 2018
I started out with a couple of problems, most related to the graphics in the instructions. Had to sit down and get the pictures to match what I was seeing. After that it was pretty straight forward. I set the center of the "M" roughly in the middle of the boat, screwed it down then Stretched both sides with my wife helping. Marked the end points and screwed in the supports. Put the pins in and ready to go. It took about an hour but it was really hot out and I wasn't in any hurry. Nice cover. Next is putting it on the lake and see how the cover does. Maybe do some fishing while I'm out there.

by John from Manahawkin, New Jersey on November 19, 2017
straps we plenty long enough although it would have be nice to have better instructions as to how to set it up for a first time user. The cover ordered came with two snaps for support poles but only one pole had a snap and there wasn't enough for two poles.

Great Product.
by Mark from Hudson, New Hampshire on September 25, 2017
The strap system was easy to install on our 24 foot pontoon boat. It holds up the mooring cover to prevent any pooling of water. The only issue we had was one of the snaps on a strap kept coming undone when we tightened the slack, so we had to use the extra strapping beyond the buckle to tie it to the rail. I recommend if you purchase 2 sets of straps to mark the poles "front" and "back" so you don't have to readjust the strapping when you put them back up.

Boat cover for 2006 Baylier 195
by David from Battle Creek, Michigan on September 03, 2017
The material used to make the boat cover is great however, the cover does not fit as tight as I would have liked and some of the straps were missing. Additionally, the straps and pole was very difficult to install and tighten. I didn't like the fact that I had to cut the hole for pole mount.

Excellent Fit and Finish
by Mark from Guernsey, Wyoming on August 08, 2017
I bought this cover for my 2008 Bayliner F-18 with tower. Not only was the fit absolutely perfect, but it was shipped exactly on the day promised and delivered as per the delivery schedule provided. I recommend that you also request that the seller send you the ratchet ties with the cover, if the one you are ordering has the hemmed option. Overall it is a great cover of great material (Sunbrella) and looks great too!!

Support system good but leaves pockets
by Steve from New Haven, Indiana on July 05, 2017
The support system easy to use but without the windshield across the boat to hold the straps up, a pocket forms at the bow of the boat. Need to include an option for 2 posts, for those boats without a windshield across boat.

Boat Cover Support System
by David from Land O' Lakes, Florida on June 02, 2017
I own a 292 Formula Fastech and this Cover Support does the job. The support poll that comes with the kit could be made better (to many sections and small diameter), but does the job. My cock pit cover support poll's diameter is to large to fit into the strap bracket. Also this kit could use another 6 hold down straps ( my preference) but the quantity given is suffice.

Must have for my boat
by Jason from Murray, Kentucky on April 07, 2017
Perfect for my Carolina Skiff JVX 18 center console with semi-custom Carver cover. Keeps a good angle on front area so water doesn't pool and cause mildew. A little frustrating to set up first time if doing it alone. Instructions don't tell you to run the front strap through the bow cleat (where you hook up the winch strap) but I found this helpful. Strap would just roll off the rather rounded bow otherwise.

Could Be Made To Be A Lot More Effective
by Stephen from Dacula, Georgia on September 07, 2016
The instructions that were included with this product were mediocre at best. I was able to figure out how to rig it up, but the system is more tailored for V hulls and I have a modified tri-hull. Some recommendations for proper placement for maximum effectiveness would have been helpfull as well. This system can be installed by one person but it would be a lot easier if you had 2 helpers to get everything centered and tensioned well.

great idea, needs some improvement?
by Nicholas from Melrose, Florida on March 28, 2016
This is an interesting set up. I've been using just the venting pole in the rear and an upside down bucket in the front to shed water. I live in florida- so theres a bit of rain. The system is a great idea- unfortunately it almost works by itself. I find that the front strap is difficult to get tight enough to adequately shed water, and that the water pools in the sides of the front of the cover. Of course when it does that the cover quickly fills. I have sense kept the system as it works great in the back of the boat better then a pole alone, and added the bucket back to the front. I think maybe if I adjust the pole higher? maybe it will work better, I'm not sure yet I'm still working with it. it is convenient to adjust with the straps and can be assembled and disassembled quickly. Over all though- Im super satisfied with the cover I bought and Iboats price! This set up is a good idea, generally I like it, we will see if I can get it work as advertised, Its not terrible and its the best I have found so far. Also I would like to add, that if you have the vent pole and were hoping to add this to it- it doesn't adapt without configuring your own modifications to it. this pole top is essentially a rounded disc with loop holes cut into it to secure the straps to it- you can't really see that in the picture. I hope this helps

Not quite perfect fit, but workable
by Richard from Cambridge, Massachusetts on October 04, 2015
I ordered what I thought was a cover that included specifications for my 16ft Crestliner with guard rails. However, the cover barely makes it across the bow with this added dimension. I think this is not really meant to be. Otherwise, it seems well made, good material, and there's plenty of straps to hold it down.

ENDURACover Boat Cover Support System review (used on drift boat)
by Patrick from Chugiak, Alaska on February 08, 2015
This product is light weight, s y, easy to set up and works as advertised. It is not specifically designed with a drift boat in mind so there is one drawback- the two straps that are supposed to support the cover at the rear of the boat had to be connected to the trailer tie downs on each side of the boat. This results in the stern not having the extra support it would provide to conventional boats. My drift boat has a rowers seat with a seat back, and the seat back does provide the necessary support for the cover. Since I installed the support system and cover the boat has been stored outside during winter in Alaska. It has held up to the weight of a light (3") snowfall and a windstorm with gusts over 50MPH. Temps have been down to -5F. The cover stayed taut and the snow brushed off easily due to the support system. I would definitely recommend it.

Good Support
by James from Huntsville, Alabama on December 12, 2014
I have used the wood and aluminum slats on prior open bow boats to support my covers but don't have that option with my Nova III. This seems to work well so far with the only caveat being it does take two people to put it on. one person needs to be in the boat with the pole and the other working the straps. I have read others comments about the plastic buckles being weak and can see that being a problem in the future but we will cross that bridge when we get to it. So far everything seems to be hunky dory

Excellent Product/Perfect Fit
by Eric from Port Saint Lucie, Florida on November 15, 2013
I am very pleased with product quality and workmanship. I purchased the cover using the directions provided for sizing it turned out to be perfect. I provided the length and type of boat and factored the swim platform in my measurements. When the package arrived, I installed it single handedly with no problems whatsoever. (Note, my boat is a 26ft sport cuddy and sits high on its trailer.) The tie down straps are plenty long for fastening to the trailer there are enough of them provided. Also, how the straps are connected/sewn to the cover itself is solid. I do not trailer my boat with the cover on so I cannot speak on that topic, I also do not know how the cover will stand up to the heat of south Florida's brutal sun U/V rays. All in all however, this is a great product that I fully endorse, recommend and would buy again without reservation.

Instructions would be nice
by Robert from Westerville, Ohio on October 27, 2013
The material is great, There are NO instructions specifically for "pontoon boats" It would be nice if the site that you order from would include picture/diagram of what to measure to get a good fit. They instructions sent were from Carver-they had no diagrams of the pontoon boat just a regular boat. The written instructions on how to run the straps was very poor-again diagrams specific to pontoon boats would be nice. I called the company direct-no help at all. Unless you have set one up like this before-don't buy.

far less than adequate
by Brandon from Littleton, Colorado on October 06, 2013
This system is just a ring that goes on the cheap poles that they send you, then they add a couple straps. There were no recommendations as to how many you need for a 25' pontoon, not does it explain much of what each kit has. Existing system had an entire line of poles tied together with a strap inbetween then straps that came off each side. It had created a top support and side support for the entire boat. Had I remixed that "support system" did not include the "system", I would have ordered a completely different brand that could handle pontoon "systems", since anybody that owns or has seen a pontoon, knows it is going to be way different than a normal boat support. HUGE FAIL!!!

The support system is fairly easy to use. However, the very first time we attached it to the boat, one of clips snapped of. So now it is tied on with no clip.

Too Short
by James from Santa ana, California on July 09, 2013
The cover itself seems to be well made, however its too short for my boat by about 8". They don't send enough of the tie down straps for the cover, so as far as I'm concerned its not a trailerable cover as advertised. The straps they do send are too short as well. On top of all this if you order the support pole kit, the customer is required to modify the cover on there own. So now because nothing fits, they want to charge me a "re stocking fee", all I want is what I paid for.

came up short
by James from Santa ana, California on July 08, 2013
The cover it self seems to be well made. Unfortunately it's about 8 inches too short. It also came with a tie down kit, which of course the straps are not long enough and you only get a third of what you need to secure the cover. All of this together means I can't use the center support I bought to keep the rain from collecting over the cockpit area because there is no way to keep the cover in place over the transom. I'm a little bit disappointed with the cover to say the least. I ordered it in advance because I was having a lot of work done on the boat and I wanted to protect my investment. I have all new interior and I had the whole boat detailed as well as a lot of other work. Normally this would not be a problem but because of the size of my boat, I can't just run out and find another cover.

2008 Sea Ray Sundeck 240 Cover
by John from Plymouth, Minnesota on May 30, 2013
I sent the cover back. Online it was advertised as a 2002-2009 Sea Ray Sundeck 240 Cover. I bought it as a daily use boat cover. When I received the product, it is clear this is not just for a 240 Sundeck but is universal for many boats. There are no cutouts for the cleats and no cutouts that will work around the Bimini Top. During checkout, it never stated that this cover was just for transport and storage however, when I get the top it states it is only intended for transport and storage. I thought I was getting a custom cover for my 2008 Sea Ray Sundeck 240 and that was not the case. Site needs to clarify what is being purchased.

Flimsy snap buckles
by Rance from Charlotte, North Carolina on January 13, 2013
I broke a snap buckle snugging up the guy strap. I substituted the male section of the strap from the tie-down straps supplied.. These buckles are larger and would not mate with the female portion I had already secured to the rail. So, i had to swap out both parts of the snap buckle. Two of the male portion of the buckle on other straps had been threaded backwards and would not stay taught.

Install issue
by Gregory from Denver, Pennsylvania on November 11, 2012
I am pleased with the ENDURACover Boat Cover Support System. It works very well. I do have to complain about the strength of the snap buckles on the stern straps. When installing the stern straps I buckled both straps and then pulled on the first strap to remove the slack. The snap buckle broke. I did not expect the snap buckle to be that fragile. I ended up removing both halves of the broken buckle and just tied the strap the stern tow hook. I now need find a replacement for that broken buckle.

Shipped to Wrong Address
by John from Childersburg, Alabama on October 18, 2012
I purchased one of these boat covers back in the 90's and was pleased with it then and am sure that I will like this one. I was disappointed that the items were shipped to my billing address. It appears that I failed to followup adequately during the ordering process to ensure that my desires were made known although I was almost positive that I specified a different shipping address. Anyway, the paper work that I have been able to pull together supports that you told me where you were going to ship it and I didn't pick up on it so it is clearly my responsibility. John A Gravelle

IT works but...
by Brian from Fort Worth, Texas on September 13, 2012
The system does just what it is supposed to do. I would say that the center support pole top plastic part is a little too small. It's about 2" and driving at 60 MPH, I just see too much pressure in one spot. I ended up using an old support pole and top that is has a 12" base of the triangle. I cut the straps from the small one and moved it to the old one. The support poles come in 3 different parts and are assembled using a plastic connector. I used an old pole that just has the one part that slides inside the other.

Boat Cover
by John from Cincinnati, Ohio on September 06, 2012
I am rating the boat cover low not because of the quality of the cover but because of what wasn't listed in the product info. I bought this cover on the basis of being able to transport the boat with the cover on but when I received the cover and read the installation instructions I find that I need to buy different hold down straps if I want to transport with this cover. This was not clearly listed in the info when I purchased this cover. Had it been I might have considered another cover which did include the transport straps.

Boat cover for Bayliner Capri
by James from St. James, Missouri on June 26, 2012
The back doesn't tie down at all, and the strap kit needs to have 12 straps instead of just 10. The Outboard cover is way too big for this 20 year old outboard and I'm sure it is worse on newer models. Haven't trailered it yet but it is not user friendly and should have had more reinforce pads at the windshield instead of telling the user to add padding. Also, vents should be standard or make it clearer that they need to be ordered separately. The back support post for the cover support system doesn't have the mating snap to hold it in place. Small details but teh differnce between a disapponting experience and an elated one. Sincerely, Jim Fleming

by Eloy from Fort Walton Beach, Florida on May 28, 2012
the system is a good and simple design and works good on my boat. the only problem was the aluminum poles. even after loosening the screw and opening the quick lock the tubes were so tight a fit i barely could get it started inside the other one. now its unmoveable and stuck as is. would have been very nice to be able to slide it as designed. to make it tight and drain best. i sprayed it with lube hoping it can move. the cover fit nicely and the quality and materiels are both good. i guess only time will tell as to durability.

your product,,Let me begin by talking about customer service,,I was served by the name of (KIT),,she is a doll,,unbelievable service, and the Quality of the cover was very nice which i would rate as a 5 however it was HUGE big enough to fit a 26-30 ft pontoon boat and we ordered for a 20 ft,,I sold the boat a few days ago and did not notify iboats to complain only because of the great service that (Kit ) provided,,and the return of such a huge cover would cost me another $150.00..then i recieved this customer review email and thought I would respond just for future customers to get the right size cover,,I'm sure we double checked when we ordered that we had the exact cover for a 20ft Sylvan Trinidad.. any way if you need more percise info feel free to contact me again Andy

Straps good, pole bad
by Alex from Clinton, New Jersey on October 11, 2011
The idea is great, and the straps work well, but for a larger boat you will need a "real" support pole, because the one that comes with it is really flimsy. While I was tightning the cover it actually bent, and I was not overtightning or anything. This is for a 25' walkaround, so perhaps the pole works better for a smaller boat.

Good straps with cheap buckles ( 2 out of 5)
by Steve from Annapolis, Maryland on August 15, 2011
The straps are fine, but the plastic buckles are prone to easy breakage. Especially the ones on the stern that lay just above the stern ski tow rope connections that you attach the straps to. On my boat they lay across the rub rail. Some quality rubber coated stern hooks and some better quality hardware could really improve this product. I don't trust the center pole to take a good strain and am building my own pole out of a 2x3. You need to pull the quite webbing taught or you will get water pooling.

Flimsy Hardware
by Kenneth from Ponca City, Oklahoma on August 08, 2011
I purchased the support system with a semi custom cover for my 21 Mako. The hardware included is very lightweight. The plastic couplers used to join the pole sections buckled the first day under the 100degree summer heat. They were permanently deformed. So I replaced them with suitable metal couplers. Within 1 week, 2 of the adjustment buckles have broken just under the tension required to prevent the straps from sagging- much less the cover. Overall this product is just too flimsy for its intended purpose.

Count me as impressed with how well the system was to deploy on the boat initially, which I anticipated was going to take a ong time. I was mistaken. It did not take long to set up initially and now that I have all the straps adjusted, it should be easy to set up each time we return from our fishing trips and install the cover. The straps were substantial. Would recommend this product if you need to get your cover up and water draining off.
