Evinrude 235 hp Outboard Manuals

I first must say, I’m not a mechanic but like to tinker with stuff. I have an older 1979 Evinrude outboard that I wanted to learn how to change the water impeller, rebuild carbs, etc…. I originally purchased a Seloc repair manual and was extremely disappointed with it. For all practical purposes I feel it is worthless. So I reluctantly spent the additional $80 for the “1979 Evinrude Outboard Service Manual ITEM_5431 - Ken Cook Co.” Well it was the best $80.00 I have ever spent on any repair project bar none. It is a fantastic resource that goes step by step with the exact pictures of my motor. I have completed the carb rebuild and impeller for approximately 1/10 of the cost to have the local marina complete the repairs. If you are looking for a manual that will walk you through step by step, you absolutely need to purchase this manual! I highly recommend this for everyone who ones a corresponding motor. Even if you never plan to do work yourself, this manual has a wealth of knowledge on your motor and provides information for every screw, bolt, torque, prop, RPM’s, and just general information that should extend the life significantly of the motor. Especially, with the all of the other costs associated with a boat, this is the best purchase you will ever make!
