Fuel pick-up

I have to say I am disappointed in the quality of this part. I purchased 1 and while attaching the fuel line it split in half. I guess I got it too tight but it was not even half way in.....now I have purchased 2 more just to be sure. Would be nice to have a brass unit instead of cheap plastic.
