Johnson Carburetor Kits

I am satisfied with the carb kit. It would be nice if the diagram what exact seal/gasket went where. Especially since there are so many sizes.

I Ordered it and it arrive the day they said it would. No I keep getting spam from iboats and I cannot seem to stop it. other wise I would order again,

The web site only shows one model for the motor I have. Ordered it and is wrong Kit.

I got what I ordered and it came quickly

I had moved and iboats had an old address. After sending my order to the old address they turned around sent a new order to my new address. They will get my business in the future.

I ordered 2 kits for each carb on my outboard. Each kit had an issue. The problem with the first kit was that the new plug/seat for the new needle valve had damaged threads. They were completely worn down like they weren't even cut. So i had to use my old one... The problem with the second kit was that the little gold rod that holds the float into place was too short to go all the way through. So once again i had to use my old one. Other than that the kit was good, but not worth the money. I won't be ordering anymore Sierra brand parts because this is the 3rd time in a row i've had a manufacturer issue with their products. Get it together!

The kit was easy to install, there are however not enough plugs included to remove/replace all of the plugs on your carb body to allow you to do a thorough cleaning. Instructions are pretty basic and cover alot of carb models, so make sure you have a sevrice manual for your carb handy. If you don't, do not try to add some of the extra pieces to your carb. The instructions show parts you are to install but a few of the parts included do not work/do not apply on all carbs covered by this kit. Otherwise this is a great kit for a overhaul of your old/tired carb.

Complete kit. Also came with the directions on how to set the FAST AND SLOW idle setting on the float. Most kits do not include both parts of this important information.

The parts worked great I am a mechanic so it was easy for me to install . The only thing is I wished it came with the float. But great product. Motor runs with no issues know.

Generally worked well. There were a lot of extras in here that were not needed for my motor. Also, I ended up using the original float needle, as I could not figure out how the spring with the new float needle was supposed to work. These complaints are more on Sierra for making a kit to work with multiple motors, and not providing directions on the float needle spring. Otherwise, the kit worked for me and got my motor back up and running.

A little clearer instructions or labeling for the less experienced person would be nice but if you take your time it's not too bad. A new packing for the mixture needle would be good too.

Quality replacement parts no corners cut. "Just close enough to almost work", is not what you will find here. Everything is an exact fit.

This kit contained the parts that I needed for overhauling the carburetor on my Johnson 6hp motor, 1966 model. The needle jet in the carb was stuck. Cleaned the parts like the instructions suggested, replaced the parts in my carb with the parts in the kit (few extra, which I saved in case). Got it to fire, and after running for a few minutes, started doing the gas ratio adjustments. Runs great now. Motor had not been used for about 10 years. It is a great kit when it gets the job done on the first try.

It did the trick for my 1972 Evinrude Mate 2. Included Several extra mounting gaskets of various sizes. Included extra needle valve packing gaskets and some other extra stuff too. Delivery was fast as well.

Kit didn't have the correct (needle) o-rings for my 2 hp Johnson, but everything else was quality product. This was not a complete surprise as the kit advertised that it wasn't an exact fit for my carb. It was the closest I could find. Thanks I-boats!

i am rebuilding two 1955 evinrube outboard motors.i orderd kit and got it fast and it was better than i thought it would be.the same kit works on the 5.5 motor and the 15hp motor.

Excellent couldn't be happier after rebuilding carb and some tweaking of ignition system motor is running like a champ. A little cold blooded but after she warms up fires up first pull every time.

Only 4 stars for this kit. I found the packing washers to be too tight, making needle adjustments difficult.

I was disappointed that this kit did not include the sediment bowl gasket

great kit but could use written instructions that is more detailed.

This kit was perfect and shipped fast. Just remember on thing when rebuilding these carbs and that is the high speed jet is in the bowl behind the bowl drain screw. If your motor only runs on full choke there is a good chance that the high speed jet is plugged so make sure you clean it out. I rebuilt my carb with this kit and it runs like new.

I'm rating this with 2 stars because when I received these kits one of them was missing parts (1 of the press in plugs was missing and the needle valve was missing) I ordered a second one from Amazon got exactly what I payed for and received it 2 days faster...

This carb kit has all major seals, but were missing the seals for the two sets of drain plugs. Ended up using old ones which seems to not be leaking so worked out okay.

even though your site lead me to this part it was not the correct one for my motor I had to send it back and buyrthe cooret part from another retailer.

Bought this before I tore the carbs down. Turns out the carbs were very clean which is surprising after the engine sat in the back yard with a tarp over it for 4 years. All it really needed was the fuel lines replaced. But, I did the carbs too with this kit. At least now I know they are good instead of wondering. Kit was fine

The problem is that the needle and seat is so crudely made that even as a new part they stick so bad that they do not function at all.I had to reuse the old ones!I intend to return them...

bought 3 of these 2 of the needle and seat assy were no good had to use old ones also the bowl gaskets were so hard that i had a hard time getting them to form to the plastic bowls im sure if the bowls were metal like the older ones it would be fine but you cant blame omc for that

Great replacement for stock carb kits. evrything is needed except the o-rings that go on the bowl drain screws. Only one is provided but it requires two to do the job. Other than that good quality.

this kit do not have all the parts needed to totally rebuild a carburetor for a 112 h p evinrude it is missing two of the rubber o-rings and the needle seat threw gasket needs to be nylon

The "O" rings supplied for the idle jet plugs are too small in cross section to seal. I had to use R-02 size rings from a O ring kit.

the carburetor kit was great worked good.But since then I ordered a control cable c4x10 witch the housing part was good but the hardwire inside was almost three inches shorter than my original wire.I ended up using my old hardwire inside my new c4x10 cable housing.Please respond email thank you.

Great fit for a 1983 evinrude 50 hp. While the carb kit didn't fix my outboard issues completely I at least have piece of mind that the carburetors are not the problem.

no gasket to replace the one on the air box to carb mount other than that a very complete kit

was having problems with the motor not running right. Rebuilt the carb with the kit and she runs better then ever.

hardest part to installing the kit is cleaning the orifices. these kits do not include high or low speed jets orifices. I ended up soaking the dismantled carburetors in MEK (methyl ethyl ketone) available at the big box store paint depts. I blew out the jets with a air compressor and returned the carbs for further soaking 15-20 minutes at a time until all jets were free of varnish build up. I was able to install the kit in just a few minutes and was back up and running in less time than it took to haul the boat to the water and idle out of the no wake zone to test the results. If I feel I need to rebuild the carbs again for the cost of new jets, why not just change the jets too? Easier to clean the small passages without the jets in place and only 5-10 min to remove and replace. Use the right size flat head screwdriver to avoid damage to the old or new jets!

We purchased 2 kits one for each of the carbs. The kit is fairly normal, however, the packaging is a little confusing. It would be better if the needle valve, seat, gasket, and arbor pin were all packaged together. There was a drawing to give the setup of the float and was very useful. All in all, it is a good kit. Would like to include kit options with low speed needle-valve and spring.

this was my first outboard carb rebuild but i have rebuilt carbs before so i had no problem doing the job with the kit. the kit is designed for at least two different carbs which kind of throw me for a minute thinking i was missing something since the choosing process was pretty detail.

Was shipped really fast and am very satisfied with the kit.

The kit plus a good carb cleaning made a dig difference in the way the motor ran. Not sure about one of the gaskets that came with the kit. It didn't appear to fit anything on my carb. I'm assuming that the kit covers a couple of different models. Otherwise a good kit and half the price of the local Marina. Good show guys.

All the needed parts were included in this kit plus some i didn't need too. Used for a 1969 Johnson 55ESL69C which had three carbs (bought 3 of these). Gaskets are quality material and all parts are close to OEM fit.

This is the lowest price on the same kit that I found anywhere and the delivery was cheap and very fast

Check the parts list in this kit before ordering. It was clearly advertised that it did not come with a new float but it wasn't clear that it did not come the the retaining seal for the mixture screw jet. I had to order it separate which delayed my rebuild by another week. Also, the float/needle hinge pin was too long and would not allow the bowl to seat back to the body. I had to grind it and file it carefully to get it to the correct length.

These are an excellent kit for rebuilding OMC outboards, did my 1995 Erude and it now runs like a champ.

Overall its a decent kit. Out of the 6 I ordered one peice was missing. Not a big deal just the wire that attaches to float valve just used an old one. This kit has many extra parts. Not specific to one model.
