The correct part ,worked perfect

This is advertised as a replacement coil for an Evinrude 9.9 but not completely. Keep in mind you will need to alter the positive wire and grounding. Also, you will need to alter the way the ignition coil mounts to the motor. I had to use a large number of washers and a longer bolt. Motor runs like a champ after wiring this in correctly!

I am shock that I actually order a part for my boat and it was exactly as it appear in the catalog, and it it fix exactly in place for the parts it was replacing. I bought 4 brand new ignition coils for my 1998 Evinrude. Everything went together well and I used the boat for about 6-8hrs in the Pamilico Sound. Decided to take the boat offshore and after getting 4 miles offshore we set up to troll and the motor killed out. After a little troubleshooting I pulled the motor cover off and found the bottom half of the ignition coil with the plug wire connected to it in the bottom of the motor housing. Very expensive sea tow and about 6hrs of headache. Not something that should happen after 8hrs of use.

Installed coils on my 1986 Evenrude 150 worked great.

I have had this 15 hp Johnson since new, 1985. This year it started running rough erratic no high speed poor trolling. After walking through step by step troubleshooting, I was only running one cylinder, one bad coil. I replaced both, perfect fit, half hour job. First pull my old motor was new again. Better than any computer Plug and Play!!

My boat was running a little ruff. It is a 1993 Johnson 200 Venom series. The previous owner had replaced half the coils,and I have been replacing plugs every season. The plug wires were original. I bought all new coils, wires, and plugs changed everything out in an hour and 10 mins using die electric grease and now it starts and runs like new. Best $250 I ever spent.

I ordered these along with two power packs. The power packs worked great so i never put the 4 new coils on.

They are a perfect fit for my 1956 Evinrude 15HP engine.

Tested both coils, installed and running like new on my 1956 Evrinrude engine.

Coils fit just fine. No problem getting the "gap" set. Motor runs like a top, first time in awhile. Had purchased Johnson OEM coils from another place before I got these here. Wouldn't fit, different part number on the coil, any other parts I need will be ordered from here.

I bought this kit for our 1952 3 HP Evinrude. Everything fit good. The little motor is running again. Very fast shipping to Canada!

The old coils were totally shot on my evinrude 1959 3 hp, replaced them with the new ones from Iboats with a new set of points and it runs beautiful again.

I recently purchased 2 coils to be used for my 18 Hp Evinrude and ended up not needing them at this time. I was very satisfied with the purchase process and the speed of delivery.

I returned the 4 coils with the packaging not opened, on July 22, 2016. I requested a. Status of my credit via. E-mail, with no response. A month has gone by without a response other than your phone message saying we are inspecting the parts. The parts never came out of your packaging, what inspecting could you be doing. The customer service seems very poor with this company, relative to returning items. I will take my business elsewhere in the future. Joe Burcar

Be careful when attempting to remove the boot from the spark plug. The metal spring/plug contactor fits so tight that if you are not careful the whole thing gets ripped out of the wire when attempting to remove the boot.

This product looks to be as well made as it could be. It fit perfectly. Only time will tell how long it will last, but I have no reason to believe there will be problems.

The spring that attached to the spark plug inside the boot pulled completely out and broke on both coils during installation, I would defiantly not purchase these again from store. For the price they shouldn't have broke by plugging in to spark plug and taking off, especially after 1 time.

Why only three you may ask well i aint got the Mississippi river mud outta everything else yet but to your product german made with heavy duty construction couldn't pick the old from the new exept for the made in germany stamp on yours will definitely buy from you boys again

The blue lead is about 0.5" shorter than the old coil (same manufacturer and part number). In my case this was a critical change. My only options are to install this upside down so the lead can reach or splice in a extra bit of wire. An extra 0.5" of wire would cost next to nothing. Come on! Another simple project gone astray by poor quality control.

Based on the picture I hoped, but did mot expect new plug wires to be part of each of the 4 new coils I purchased for my 1990 Johnson 88. I was pleasantly surprised when each box contained a new coils AND a new plug wire. (Plug wires alone cost $12-16 each) I highly recommend these coils

The CDI ignition coils were defective right out of the box. The customer support at CDI on the other hand, is fantastic. The entire ignition system was replaced this summer with new CDI components. The timer base, the voltage regulator, the power pack, and The stator coil were all brand-new. I put the ignition coils on as a maintenance item. When the coils actually failed, I called CDI, and was told in no uncertain terms that they had a whole bunch from a production run that were bad and it wasn't my imagination. The man apologized, and suggested I use factory OMC coil's until they got that issue Of the production run fixed. So, I received a good and honest treatment from CDI, but I wish they would just not sell those coils until they get it fixed . Now, I have returned to the coils to iboats and I am waiting on a refund.

I purchased these for a 1988 Johnson 40HP outboard J40ELCCS. They looked to be good quality, and installed without a problem. I thought it was a great price for the coil with spark plug wire. I would definitely order again.

Top quality in all aspects including plug wires. Cured an intermittent stumbling problem.

The left side went right on connected the wires with no problems. The right side did not fit as the left did. The wires had to be connected before installing them, and then they rubbed the block and make it hard to install. I removed them and reinstalled them upside down from the left side so that I would not need to remove the coils to change the wires later.

On in less than 5 minutes.

solved my no spark problem, but it's only the coil. the mount is not included and you have to use the old one. I had to glue the new one on the old mount.
