Very satisfied
by Rodney from Stoutland, Missouri on August 04, 2017
My 1985 90 hp Inline 6 Mercury would start up fine, idle fine and rev up fine with the water muff's on. Get it out on the water under a load and it would just bog down and not get on plane. After a few test I had one cylinder that wasn't firing. Changed the coil with no improvements, well next in line was the switch box. With Iboats help getting the right one, it was a easy change out and the motor is running like a new one with plenty of power. Thank you iboats for the help and the extremely fast shipping!!! 2 thumbs up!!

Got it done...
by Howard from Eupora, Mississippi on September 27, 2015
Motor was dropping a cylinder. Narrowed it down to switch box. Iboats got me the right part quickly and got me running on all six again. Part was an exact fit for my 200 mercury.

Q:
I can't seem to find one of these for a 2004 Mercury 200 EFI. Is it controlled differently? Serial is 0T922664?
A:
Yes it is controlled differently. You have an alternator for your ignition system which has different components than ones with the stator, switchbox, etc.

Q:
I have a 135 Mariner, think it is a 1987 model. Cdi number on box says 332-7778 A1. Will this one work?
A:
Yes this cross references with that OEM number.

Q:
Will this fit a switck box # 332-7778 1-2xk on a 1987 outboard mercury?
A:
Yes.

Q:
I have Mariner 200HP 6436076. My Switch boxs (2) show 332-7778 as the numbers. Under that is 1-XK and the second shows 2-XK. Will these work on my Outboard?
A:
Yes this cross references with your OEM number. So this is the correct switch box for your motor.

Q:
Will this fit a 1979 140hp mariner #5443233. mine has #332-5524A1 on it as the part #.?
A:
The 18-5775 is paired with the OEM part number 332-5524A1 as the replacement part.

Q:
Will this switchbox work on my 1990 mariner 60hp?
A:
Yes.

Q:
I have a merc 115hp took the switch box out it has a part#332-7778 will this work?
A:
The part number provided needs to have an A9 or A6 at the end for this part to work.

Q:
Is this the upper or lower switch box?
A:
If your engine requires two then typically you will just need to order two of these. We can typically confirm with your engine serial number and HP. Let us know if we can assist with that.

Q:
If no tach how do I get tach to work again on my 105 hp 77 Chrysler?
A:
No way for us to diagnose the tach, you will need to do some troubleshooting by testing wires and such. If you need some assistance you can go to our professional installation tab and type your zip code in to get an Amtech Dealer near you.
