Filler for tank
by Sammie from Phil Campbell, Alabama on November 23, 2011
Worked very well and was glad the vent was located in the tube to relieve the gas fumes outside instead of around the tank.

Missing advertising
by Thomas from Union Hall, Virginia on September 13, 2016
The first thing you see on the packaging is that this cap is only for boats 2010 and before when new EPA regulations take effect.. Mine is a 2013. Why does Iboats not notate this in their online sales? I did research and every told me that a cap is a cap and this will not effect my motor performance. Appears to be right although it does not screw on easily and does not click. Due to the fact that the original part is $75 at the dealer, and get this, the safety chain is extra, this was a good alternative. Ended up OK.

Replace Everything
by Michael from Homestead, Florida on August 17, 2014
Had the same cap on the boat, it looked old and the o-ring for the vent was done. FYI... When the o-ring goes you can over-tighten the cap and the fuel vent will close OFF the boat will stop from fuel starvation.

Q:
Gas is spitting back out when I try to fill my tank. Why is this happening? It seems like a vent issue.?
A:
Typical gas pump flow from a station is 7 gallons per minute. It sounds like the tank is not venting correctly. Check for restriction on your vent.

Q:
Is the cao metal or plastic?
A:
Chrome plated bronze cap.

Q:
Will the suffice for current fill and vent running under deck to transom if I mount on side of cener console high? current lines run under deck to transom - 16ft key largo?
A:
You would need to make sure that the measurements match up with your previous fill and vent. If everything does match this part should work.

Q:
Will this fit on a 226 Godfrey Hurricane deck boat 1999?
A:
These are made to fit more based on style and measurements, not by the make and model of your boat. You will just want to measure your existing cap or its area dimension and see if it matches up.

Q:
Will this fit a 2007 Rinker Captiva 226?
A:
We cannot match up by boat as we do not have original information. However, this is a replacement vent cap for Perko Gas Fill & Tank Vent.
