The tip of the pole would be better if fit into a 1 - 2" diameter hard plastic rather than the narrow snap tip.

I purchased a WeatherMax custom boat cover and 1 drainage pole and 1 vented support pole. The drainage pole has a snap that snaps to the boat cover in an area determined by the manufacturer. However, I cannot attach the drainage pole to the cover and still cover the boat. If I attach the drainage pole, even at the lowest settings the boat cover is too high to go around the gunnel. It makes the cover too high. Therefore I cannot use it with my custom fit cover I purchased from Iboats. This is probably a good product but Iboats should have never offered it as an add-on with the custom cover I purchased. It will not accurately fit.

I love the snap on the end of the pole, it keeps the pole in place while installing the cover. Along with the reinforcements, it should last a long time. It's too bad the cover did not fit my boat.

your pole is fine,it's the boat cover I bought thats the problem! It seems to big! I had it made to fit my exact boat! PLEASE RESPOND!!!!

I ordered a Shoretex Custom Cover for my 2001 Ebbtide Bow Rider. delivery was in 10 days and fit well. I was impressed with the workmanship and the fit. The cover reinforcement is good but Could have added some reinforcement at area of bimini brackets which I am adding. otherwise I am happy with the cover.

Because of the price and the "custom" claim, I expected the cover to have snaps as is common with the Lund Tyee covers.

I'm sure it will work just fine.

Pole is too tall for my boat but might work for others. Had it installed but found it was leaving a flat spot on cover letter that would catch rain. But it does what it is suppose too And easy to install

I think I am missing the washer for the under side of the cover. I have the vent but if I cut the hole in the cover it would be too large for the lock nut to hold the gasket. and when I ordered it with the cover it sounded like it would be pre-installed, but if you could send me the missing washer it would be appreciated

GREAT VENT POLE. I DID NOT INSTALL AS A VENT, SO I CAN USE IT ANYWHERE I NEED TO AND IT WORKS GREAT. IT CAN BE ADJUSTED IN PLACE AND HOLDS THE COVE IN PLACE VERY NICE.

It was a bit scary to think about cutting a hole in the center of my brand new expensive boat cover. My wife and I followed the directions and had this vent installed in about 15 minutes. It works well and I am pleased with the product.

This is an excellent and must have item. Easy to install and works great. My boat is stored outside 50% of of the time. With this item I have no worries about mildew or the lock of ventilation. I definitely recommend this item as an add on to any good boat cover!

Awesome vent and pole. Easy install and provides nice air flow inside the boat.

The vented pole is very easy to install, works well and will help the cover to "breathe" with eht vented design.

I paid over $500 for a new boat cover for my 2007 Discovery 195 Bayliner. I purchased 2 vented poles on the suggestion of Shoremaster rep (I was given the phone number by iBoats because their person didn't have good answers for my questions). Nowhere on the iBoat site, nor in person on the phone, nor Shoremaster, mentioned that I would have to find the proper point to place this pole and also CUT a hole in my cover to attach the vent pole and gasket material. Only when I received the UPS box and opened it did I find my "surprise"!! Also the base of the pole is not really non-skid and it is very tough to keep it upright without it moving/shifting or falling down.

I did not receive the Vent, only the pole?
