Exact Replacement Fuel Pump
by John from Grand Haven, Michigan on July 11, 2016
Pump was exactly like the old one. It looked, fit and functioned as it should. No complaints. Would order this part again if I needed it, (and I might because I have another engine with the same pump).

Worked great the first day
by Jeff from Lancaster, South Carolina on August 10, 2013
As the title suggests, this pump worked as expected the first day. The second day....not so much. Took the boat to the ramp and tried to start the engine, no dice. Took it home and found the pump merrily whirring away but will not pump. No suction, no discharge. So, I took the pump off and connected a hose to the suction side and put the end of the hose in a gallon of fuel. Again, she sounds great whirring away but nothing comes out of the discharge. BTW all of my fuel lines are clear, my filter is brand new, fuel is new, absolutely no blockage on either side of the pump.

Q:
Looking for confirmation that this is correct for my boat. 2000 Volvo Penta 5.0GL #4012005081. Also, difference between Sierra and OEM?
A:
Yes this is the correct one. Sierra is an aftermarket version and works with and cross reference with many OEM numbers. While the OEM version from Volvo and does not cross reference with any others.

Q:
I have a 1998 4.3 volvo penta glpbyc. what is proper pump?
A:
This will work with your sterndrive motor.

Q:
I have an OMC 432APRJUB 4.3L, is this the correct pump? Is it a low pressure pump?
A:
That model number does not pull up, but 432APRJVB does. It is a 4.3L, 1993 OMC. The OEM number for that is 3850817 which cross references with PH500-M009 which is a low pressure.

Q:
I have Volvo 7.4 carbureted 4 barrel engine. I need to replace the fuel pump. My dealer said the part # is 3854902, I don't see that u have anything to replace it with.?
A:
18-7331 is the cross reference for your OEM number.

Q:
What is the difference between these 2 pumps?
A:
Not sure what 2 pumps you were looking at, but if it was 18-7331 and 18-7326 then the GPM is higher for 18-7331 at 45.

Q:
Can you tell me how many gpm is the 18-7236?
A:
I think you mean 18-7326, but it is 25 GPM.
