Entering its 6th year of operations, iboats.com announced on Thursday, January 9 that one of the main components of its triple digit growth in 2002 was a dramatic upswing in the number of custom web sites that the company’s Creative Services Department built for boating industry clients during 2002.
“As we look at our last 12 months of operations, our company not only achieved profitability as of March and grew by over 165% in revenues during 2002, but I believe that our remaining fiercely true to our initial core principle of being unashamedly dealer-supportive produced another spectacular result. We created and built more than 100 custom web sites for dealers, manufacturers, and other industry businesses during the year. We are expecting to more than double that number in 2003,” said Bruno Vassel III, chairman and CEO of iboats, inc.
Vassel then expanded on why he thinks this custom web site building growth is occurring for iboats. “Our receiving so much custom web site business is clear recognition, I believe, of the increasing understanding throughout the boating industry that every business, no matter what size, needs an effective and well-promoted website. It’s also a clear indication that the cost of building or improving an existing site has come down dramatically as compared to several years ago.”
“We also feel that our understanding of both the boating industry and how to build user-friendly, highly effective web sites is a key reason why this division of our company has done so well.
