SALT LAKE CITY – August 10, 2007 – iboats.com Forums continue to see strong growth with membership having surpassed 100,000 members on August 8, 2007 the company announced in a press release today.

There are now more than 1.4 million posts in these Forums answering over 213,000 different boating-related questions. The average question asked on these free Forums now receives answers from 6.7 different posts, an increase of 17.5% over the last two years.  Some specific questions receive as many as 50, 100 or even more different answers from different helpful boaters, mechanics, and other technicians. The number of boating-related discussion categories has increased from 22 to 25 over the same period of time, iboats.com said.

Late in 2005 iboats.com also added over 30 new categories for individual boat lines to their Forums, such as Sea Ray, Bayliner, Boston Whaler, Alumacraft, Four Winns, Glastron, Lund, Starcraft, Tracker, Zodiac, Grady-White boats and others.  Since then the number of individual boat lines listed in these Forums has increased to 128 different manufacturers’ lines of boats with many hundreds of questions and answers being posted for each line.  Consumers share helpful and often very detailed information, offer tips and suggestions that apply to a specific boat type, model and year, and provide support and help to other boaters.
