Globe does not fit like original

This product carries the same #248 as the cracked and discolored Perko from my 1931 Chris Craft Model 199. It tries to screw into the same fitting but does not tighten as does the original. Probably no real fix so I will add some screws to the sides to make sure it does not fall off. They look identical but the threads on the new one must be just slightly different.

Can you provide the major diameter of the threads? Also,are they 16 threads per inch?

The only information Perko provides for this globe is that it's 2-1/2 inches tall, the inner diameter is 1-11/16 inches, and the outer diameter is 2 inches. For more information on it, you can try contacting perko directly by visiting their website.
