My 1980 I/O needed a fuel pump. After visiting many local sources I viewed the iboats catalog, found what I needed, saved a hundred dollars and received exactly what I needed 3 days later. Thanks iboat!

I am very plaesed with my purchase of the new fuel pump as I was having trouble getting my boat running and it is now passing gas like it supposed to!! This piece of garbage that was made in China ruined my boating week. It only lasted maybe 6 boating trips at the most. After tearing down, the metal washer holding the diaphragm had broke off. Yes, that's right, the metal had fatigued and broke. will be sending back to manufacture and insisting on a replacement or money back. This comment has nothing to do with Iboats only the makers of the fuel pump.

This pump was the part I needed to get my boat up and running again, and it was much cheaper here than anywhere else around town. USPS shipping to TX was surprisingly quick too.

I purchased a Sierra fuel pump approximately two years ago and had to replace it again this summer. I replace it with a Carter fuel pump that you sent this time. Difference being the Sierra was stamped "Made in China". I just don't believe the quality of the Chinese products is as good and the service life is shorter. I would rather pay more and get a U S made product that will give better service life.

Pump was exactly like the old one. It looked, fit and functioned as it should. No complaints. Would order this part again if I needed it, (and I might because I have another engine with the same pump).

Pump came when it was expected, was packaged well. Installed it easily and boat started right up. It's been running fine since.

Was able to easily locate correct replacement pump and received it promptly.

As the title suggests, this pump worked as expected the first day. The second day....not so much. Took the boat to the ramp and tried to start the engine, no dice. Took it home and found the pump merrily whirring away but will not pump. No suction, no discharge. So, I took the pump off and connected a hose to the suction side and put the end of the hose in a gallon of fuel. Again, she sounds great whirring away but nothing comes out of the discharge. BTW all of my fuel lines are clear, my filter is brand new, fuel is new, absolutely no blockage on either side of the pump.

Customer service specialist was VERY helpful! Was able to help find the right pump for my boat. He even called the pump manufacturer to make sure he got me the correct one. Pump bolted right on and has worked great. Very fast shipping also. Would absolutely purchase again!
