3/8" Barb Chrome Brass Female Fuel Line Connector OEM: 197787-3 for Chrysler Force Outboards - Seasense

The quality was great -- no complaints. The only problem, it would not lock with the male Chrysler fuel fitting. It almost did, but it didn't. The problem is that it did not closer over the male end enough so that its bearings would lock into the recessed locking ring on the male end. Hard to explain, especially for me. Sorry. What I did to make it fit, is I took the collar off Fuel Line Connector, took the spring off, let the locking bearings fall out (don't lose them!). Then I used a drill bit a bit smaller than the 3 holes in the connector. With the male end inserted, I drilled 3 small divots in the male end. I then reassembled the connector. Now it locks when I rotate the connector--then the locking bearing fall into the little holes in the male end. Hope this helps.
