Mercury Pre 1998 bayonet female connnector. The twist on design uses 0-ring seals to ensure a leak free connection using today's ethanol based fuel. Moeller 3/8" hose barb is ideal for fuel line assemblies at the tank and engine ends. Manufactured from cast aluminum.

The 3/8' refers to the hose size. 1/4" is the internal diameter of the fitting.

You will just need to verify your engine connection is the bayonet style, but this is what was used on most Mercury's pre-1998.
