No Sierra lists this as a 5 hole pattern.

I'm looking for exhaust manifold gasket (main one) for a Gm 4 cyl 2.5L 153CID. Model is mercury MCM 120 i think its a 1978. s/n on engine 5036588?

Based on your engine info there are only gasket end caps, choke over cover gasket, and exhaust elbow gasket. 18-1210-9 is the end cap gasket. 39947 is the choke cover gasket and 39915 or 18-2819 is the elbow gasket.

Re mercury marinereplacement parts for 76771A3 what is the difference between the two? Why does the Mallory have a flange like piece sticking out the exhaust and the other does not?

Mallory design is more universal to late model inboard engines, so it accommodates more motors.
