to replace marine power part # 0170-000
by Francis from Fort Myers, Florida on December 04, 2010
The iboats part number starter 18-5603 looks considerably smaller than my original for my marine power 454. I will not install untill I here it will work. Not going to blow $221.00 on something that looks too small and maybe under powered. Their web site said it replaces the marine power part 0170-000..... at this point I really doubt it.

Q:
Will this starter fit my indmar 5.7 monsoon engine?
A:
We do not have the original parts list for that motor to cross reference. We will need to know OEM number to cross reference from Indmar.

Q:
Will this fit my 1986 3.7l mercruiser?
A:
We would need a serial # to confirm fitment or find the correct parts.

Q:
Will this replace the starter on my 96 sea Ray 175 series 4.3 v6 mercruiser?
A:
This is not the right one. Best thing to do is call us with your engine serial number and we can take a look to verify part. 1-800-914-1123.

Q:
On your part number 50141 CCW rotation is that what I need to go on my 350Q gm engine, it looks the same as mine, but the question is do i need CCW or CW rotation? help are we standing behind the crank or in front. my starter is mounted on the left side looking from the front of the engine. rotation looking at back of the starter or the front?!!!!!?
A:
We have a document guide that we can send to help you determine which rotation you need. However, most marine engines are counter clockwise. Call us and we can send that.
