The RT-95 Compact is used on pontoon boats or boats with swim platforms that are 10" or less from the top of the platform to the water. For these boats fishermen have a choice between the RT-95 Compact or the RT-400-TOP (Top mount brackets). If steering system must be removed for other boat use, the RT-400 should be used because removal of the two bolts allows system to be lifted off leaving just the two mounting brackets. The RT-95 is recommended if removal is not required.
Note: The trolling motor mounts about 8" closer to the end of the swim platform when using the RT-95 model.
