Supersub 1100 GPH Auto Bilge Pump 12v -Whale Water Systems

This pump has had a sum total of 2 months of use and maybe 6 hours of total time. The pump was installed in my bilge and worked fine for 2 months, but I went to the boat recently and found the bilge pump cycling and not turning off and not pumping water. I noted the the impeller was sheared off the motor. There were no debris or any causes. beyond just poor workmanship. I would expect that kind of result with a generic pump, but not with the "Whale Brand" After this, I will never buy from Whale again. I have contacted the company multiple times and they have yet to contact me back. It concerns me that such a needed product (bilge pump) breaks after 2 months. Had I had a significant leak, I would have had a flooded boat. (I do have a secondary bilge pump that is much higher.) If you look online, I am not the only one who has had this issue with this pump. I thought they were outliers, but unfortunately that is not the case.
