Mercury Marine, Mercruiser Inboard, MES, GLM, Mariner Replacement Solenoid SW058 - Arco

I see everyone likes these solenoids as I did when I received them. They are an exact replacement and they do what they are supposed to do BUT they are only good for a short time. I "liked" them so much when I received them that I replaced both the trim solenoids (one was bad and the other was good). That was in August of last year. In April the trim up went and last weekend the trim down went. It's was a good thing I saved the old one when the trim up went but now I'm dead in the water so to speak. For both to go bad is too much of a coincidence. I just went on ebay and bought 2 from a seller that makes their own right here in the great USofA for 10.50 a piece with free shipping. I won't buy Arco anymore so I have to try something new. I hope these last. If you need and buy one of these you better make that 2 because they will fail prematurely so your going to need a spare.
